犹大书 Jude

犹大书的作者自称「耶稣基督的仆人，雅各的弟兄」，传统认为他是主耶稣的兄弟犹大。他本想从容地写信谈论「同得的救恩」，却因假师傅偷着进入教会而改变笔锋，恳切劝勉信徒「要为从前一次交付圣徒的真道，竭力地争辩」。这是一封因爱群羊而发出的紧急檄文，言辞炽热，目标明确。

犹大以一连串旧约与犹太传统中的鉴戒敲响警钟：不信而倒毙旷野的一代、不守本位的天使、所多玛和蛾摩拉，又点名该隐的道路、巴兰的错谬、可拉的背叛。那些将神的恩典变作放纵情欲之机会的人，是没有雨的云、秋天没有果子的树、海里的狂浪。审判的言辞虽然严厉，背后却是牧者护卫真道与群羊的心肠。

但犹大书并非只有警告。他给信徒的嘱咐积极而温暖：要在至圣的真道上造就自己，在圣灵里祷告，保守自己常在神的爱中，仰望主的怜悯直到永生；又要怜悯疑惑的人，从火中抢救沉沦的灵魂。书末的颂赞是新约最壮丽的祝祷之一：那能保守你们不失脚、叫你们无瑕无疵欢欢喜喜站在他荣耀之前的神，配得荣耀、威严、能力、权柄，直到永永远远。

The author introduces himself as "a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James" — by tradition, Jude the brother of the Lord Jesus. He had been eager to write at leisure about the salvation we share, but news that false teachers had slipped in among the believers changed his pen mid-stroke: he now writes urgently, appealing to them "to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people." It is an emergency dispatch, fiery in tone, written out of love for the flock.

Jude sounds the alarm with a rapid series of warnings drawn from the Old Testament and Jewish tradition: the unbelieving wilderness generation, angels who abandoned their proper dwelling, Sodom and Gomorrah; then the way of Cain, Balaam's error, and Korah's rebellion. Those who pervert the grace of God into a license for immorality are clouds without rain, autumn trees without fruit, wild waves of the sea. The severity of the language serves a shepherd's purpose — to guard both the faith and the people.

Yet Jude is far more than denunciation. His positive charge is warm and practical: build yourselves up in your most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ; be merciful to those who doubt, and snatch others from the fire. And the letter closes with one of the most magnificent doxologies in the New Testament: to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, forevermore.
